In 2013 25 days before the start of the race we took on a challenge to bring a car to the 25 hours of Thunderhill. From scratch we designed in house and built a tube frame vehicle to compete in the ES class while conforming to a reasonable budget. At a fraction of the cost of a Porsche Cup car we built a vehicle putting down similar lap times in 4 hours stints between fueling. That year the car did exceptionally well running 18 hours cut short only by the tired budget motor giving in to the demands.
To add to the challenge during those 25 days we were asked to prep two more cars – an E30 and E46 BMW. The E30 was a straight forward prep. The E46 was a teardown project, stripped to the tub for paint and rebuilt thereafter.
All to say the challenge was met thanks to the hard work and commitment from our team and vendors.

We installed the more powerful more reliable BMW S54 engine. We also made a few modifications to our fueling system.
Due to suspected engine management faults the car didn’t make it to the 2014 25 hour race. However we are starting that much earlier on our 2015 edition so stay tuned!
